The sparring and hazing of the new trainees border on deadly. But even more dangerous is her growing attraction to Wilder Hawthorne, her unwilling warrior chaperone.
All around them, schemes are afoot and darkness looms.
Will Althea pass the perilous initiation test and take her place as a champion of Thezmarr? Or will the invading evil snatch away her dream before it starts?

REVIEW:
I don't think i've been this obsessed with a book in a long time. 🥵
Blood & Steel is the first out of four books within The Legends Of Thezmarr series. I HIGHLY suggest reading Slaying The Shadow Prince (which is considered a standalone installment for the series) before you hop into Blood & Steel.
This is one of MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SERIES THAT I'VE EVER READ!
GOD TIER type of series, i'm talking one of the 'greats'
☕️ EVERY SINGLE BOOK IN THIS SERIES WAS A 5 STAR READ FOR ME!!!
while reading this book i was experiencing emotional flashbacks to the first time i read Throne Of Glass.
the absolute OBSESSION that i experienced, the adoration, the complete and total awe because the story sucked me in like it was Jumanji.
as most series, the deeper you get into the world building, the magical system and the character development.. the deeper you fall in love with the series as a whole!
Blood & Steel is no exception to that, and i was deeply invested with Thezmarr by chapter two of this book.
Thea, our FMC is full of determination, independence, and self-belief. i absolutely loved living through her POV as she proved ALL the people who doubted her wrong.
I loved the relationship between her and her sister Wren. they couldn't be more opposite! BUT they genuinely love and support one another in the pursuit of their individual dreams.
the magical system was absolutely incredible and although it was similar to other world's i've read about, it was also totally different in ways!
Wilder, our MMC was a total butt-head in the first few chapters of the book. BUT if you read Slaying The Shadow Prince, we have an inside scoop on why he's so angry at the world. i'm a sucker for a good enemies to lovers and these two did not disappoint.
THE BANTER BETWEEN THEA AND WILDER HAD ME HOOTIN' AND HOLLERIN' 🔥🔥
I would absolutely give ANYTHING to read this series again and rank it as one of my favorite series of all time.
this is a GREAT book to read after ACOTAR, TOG or even Fourth Wing to get you out of the book hangover! it'll make you forget about previous shadow daddies and give you new fictional characters to drool over.
100% recommend to anyone and everyone. This book & series will alter your brain chemicals and, happy to say it will have lasting effects.
Please, Please read this book AND The Legends Of Thezmarr series as soon as possible, you will have the time of your life!!!!!
