SYNOPSIS:

Butcher & Blackbird is the viral TikTok friends-to-lovers dark romantic comedy full of murder, chaos, and sizzling chemistry—unlike anything you’ve read before—now available in all bookstores.

When a chance encounter sparks an unlikely bond between rival murderers Sloane and Rowan, they find something elusive—the friendship of two like-minded, pitch-black souls who just happen to enjoy killing other serial killers.

From small-town West Virginia to upscale California, and from downtown Boston to rural Texas, the two hunters collide in an annual game of blood and suffering, one that pits them against the most dangerous monsters in the country.

But as their friendship develops into something more, the restless ghosts left in their wake are only a few steps behind, ready to claim more than just their newfound love.

Can Rowan and Sloane dig themselves out of a game of graves?

Or have they finally met their match?

REVIEW:

I'm OBSESSED with this book and loved every second of it!

When I tell you that I went absolutely FERAL for this book and honestly the entire 'Ruinous Love' trilogy, I'm not even exaggerating!!!! This wasn't a "typical" read for me. Because it was the first book that I read that was grotesque and somewhat horror-ish.

Personally, it felt more like horror than dark romance or romance.

While I was reading it, I was AUDIBLY gasping out loud as some of the scenes were unfolding. My partner was so confused when, one minute I'm hysterically laughing and the next minute I'm **ACTUALLY** gagging.

You're probably sitting over there, reading this review like "TF RACHAEL, WHY WOULD I WANT TO EXPERIENCE THAT" and to that I say........you simply must.

It was such a fun read, even though I just made it sound anything but lol..

Accidental cannibalism was an interesting trigger warning that I mentally took note of before I opened the book, and while I was shooketh to my core while reading.. I think it fit the story and gave us some light comic relief!

LOVVVEEEE the MMC Rowen and Sloane the FMC together. She is a very EMPOWERED FMC and I LIVE to find them in my favorite books!

I loved the strangers to friends to lovers aspect of their story!

Overall, I definitely recommend it if you're into dark romance and horror vibes!
